Ursa Major

The challenge for this project was to begin with an excerpt of music and to build a story from what I could hear. I listened to almost the entirety of Holst's The Planets Suite before finally settling on Venus, the Bringer of Peace. Whereas Mars was fierce and Uranus bordering on mad, Venus had a quality of curiosity and fairytale-esque mystique that I couldn't ignore. 

The Count of Monte Cristo

Edmond Dantès, a promising young sailor and soon-to-be captain finds his life turned upside down when his rivals falsely accuse him of treason. This animatic, based on Chapter 8 of Alexandre Dumas' novel, follows Dantès' journey from his holding cell in Marseille to the infamous island prison, the Ch​âteau d'if. 

Turbulence

The following is based on a (somewhat) true story. When a college student, Jerry, makes a series of poor decisions on a busy travel day, things a turn for worse. A word to the wise: You can never be too prepared.
